What management said

The key piece of corporate development directly affecting Borders and Southern was FID being declared by Navitas Petroleum and partner Rockhopper Exploration on Sea Lion... This event has put Borders & Southern's Darwin project, and our extensive prospect portfolio firmly in the spotlight; re-invigorating the farm-out process.

After the year end

The dividend

The Directors did not recommend the payment of a dividend for 2025 (2024: $nil).

Going concern and the audit

Financial statements prepared on a going concern basis but auditor (BDO LLP) identified a material uncertainty related to going concern (unmodified opinion, not qualified). Group had net cash of $2.56m at 31 Dec 2025 (2024: $2.09m), no external borrowings. Cashflow forecast to 30 June 2027 indicates insufficient cash to cover costs during the going concern period without a capital raise in late 2026/early 2027 and/or a farm-out; the Group also has a well commitment before licence expiry on 31 December 2026. Auditor: BDO LLP (Sameera Amarasiri, Senior Statutory Auditor), unqualified true-and-fair opinion, three KAMs: carrying value of exploration and evaluation assets, going concern, and (2024 only) impairment of intercompany loan receivable (no longer a KAM in 2025 due to low complexity). Materiality $4.2m (1.4% of total assets).
