FY2025 in sixty seconds
year to 31 Dec 2025 · approved 24 Apr 2026 · 96 pages · Companies House
Ingenta plc sells software that publishers use to manage rights, royalties and online content. In 2025 its revenue edged up to £10.3m from £10.2m, and profit after tax rose to £1.7m from £1.3m.
Much of that rise came from a lower tax charge, as profit before tax barely moved. Sales of its rights and royalty software grew, but its online content business lost two customers. Spending on sales and marketing went up, and the previous year had included some one-off income. As a result, the company's own measure of earnings per share, which leaves out one-off items, fell 12.8%.
Cash rose to £4.7m from £3.6m, with no borrowings and no money raised from shareholders. The dividend for the year is 4.5p a share, up from 4.1p. The board expects 2026 revenue to be at least broadly in line with 2025, as new customers make up for losses on older products. The auditor raised no doubts about the company's future. The report warns that two customers each provide more than a tenth of revenue.
