Marks Electrical Group plc, an online seller of household appliances and electronics that delivers and installs them with its own vans, saw revenue fall to £107.9m from £117.2m in the year to 31 March 2026. It made a loss after tax of £421k, smaller than the previous year's loss of £1.4m.

The company says sales fell mainly because it chose to stop selling through other retailers' online marketplaces, which often lost money. Higher minimum wage and national insurance costs, and lower margins on electronics as it cleared unwanted stock, held back profit, while delivery savings and lower advertising helped. The previous year's loss included £2.9m spent on a new computer system.

Cash at the year end was £4.4m, down from £8.8m, largely because the company now pays suppliers on time each month. It had no bank borrowings, and no final dividend is proposed. Management says it is targeting growth in sales and profit but expects this to be challenging over the next 12 months. The auditors raised no concerns, but after the year end the competition regulator fined the company £720,000 over online pricing, plus refunds to customers.
