Origin Enterprises gives farmers crop advice and supplies products such as fertiliser, and also runs a smaller landscaping and ecology business, across Ireland, the UK, Continental Europe and Brazil. In the year to 31 July 2025, revenue was €2.11bn, up +3.1% from €2.05bn, and profit after tax grew to €52.8m from €40.4m. The report credits higher sales volumes, six acquisitions in the landscaping and ecology business, and better margins in Ireland and the UK. Slightly lower prices pulled the other way. One-off items also shaped the profit figure. On the plus side were a gain on a property sale at a part-owned company and an increase in the value of properties the group owns. On the minus side were a write-down of older UK acquisitions and deal costs. At the year end the company held €169.8m in cash against borrowings of €240.6m. It raised no money from shareholders and proposed a total dividend of €0.173 a share. Management called the year a strong performance, with earnings ahead of its guidance. The auditor gave a clean opinion and the directors raised no doubts about the company's future. The report does flag risks from weather, commodity prices and sanctions against Russia.
