Sixty seconds on the FY2026 report

Orosur Mining Inc explores for gold and silver in Colombia and Argentina and has no sales yet. For the year to 31 May 2026 it made a loss after tax of $6.0m, against a profit of $9.9m the year before. The loss from day-to-day activities widened to $4.4m from $3.8m. Most of the swing comes from the previous year. Last year's profit came from one-off gains: debts at former operations in Uruguay were cancelled, and money set aside for a royalty dispute in Chile was no longer needed. This year had no such gains, and the report also records a loss from revaluing warrants, which are rights for investors to buy shares later. The company ended the year with $10.0m of cash, up from $4.9m, and no borrowings. It raised $13.1m by selling new shares and paid no dividend. Just before the report was signed, it announced plans to raise up to Cdn$14,000,000 more. The auditor did not qualify its opinion but warned of significant doubt about whether the company can keep going, because that depends on raising further money.

    Going concern and the audit

Auditor Baker Tilly WM LLP (Vancouver, B.C.) issued an unqualified opinion dated September 25, 2026, but included a 'Material Uncertainty Related to Going Concern' paragraph referencing Note 1, noting conditions that may cast significant doubt on the Company's ability to continue as a going concern (opinion not modified). The single key audit matter identified was assessment of impairment indicators for exploration and evaluation assets (carrying amount $10,805 at May 31, 2026). Engagement partner: Anna C. Moreton. Note 1 states the Company's going concern is dependent on its ability to obtain adequate financing; no assurance adequate financing will be available; financial statements do not reflect adjustments that would be necessary if the going concern basis were not appropriate, which could be material.
