ONE Media IP Group plc

One Media iP Group Plc (OMIP) is an AIM-listed UK company that acquires and commercially exploits mixed-media intellectual property rights - primarily music recordings, compositions and producer royalties, plus video and spoken-word content - distributing digitally worldwide (over 600 digital stores) and via traditional media outlets. Its strategy centres on active rights management and licensing of an evergreen catalogue, selective investment/partnerships, and exploring acquisitions. During FY2025 it divested its TCAT software subsidiary, retaining a minority equity stake in the acquirer, Round Group Limited.

One Media iP Group Plc owns and licenses rights to older music recordings, songs and video, earning royalties mainly from streaming services. Revenue dipped to £4.8m from £4.9m, but the company made a profit after tax of £371k, against a loss of £2.3m the year before.

The swing came largely from selling its TCAT software business. Losses from that business fell from £2.7m to £0.6m, and a one-off tax credit linked to TCAT also helped. Lower overheads and distribution costs lifted the profit from day-to-day trading. Weaker exchange rates cut revenue, because most sales are in US dollars.

Cash at the year end rose to £791k and bank borrowings fell to £749k. No money was raised from shareholders, and no dividend was paid because the board chose to reinvest. Management called the outlook for music rights strong and the group cash generative, and said it is considering ways to grow. The auditor raised no doubts. The report does warn that the company relies on one distributor, The Orchard, for about half of its sales, and on a small team.

What management said

The outlook for music IP remains strong; against a broader backdrop of uncertainty, the Group generates stable net revenues and capital value growth underpinned by an irreplaceable portfolio of evergreen music catalogues.

The dividend

Board decided not to pay a dividend for FY2025, favouring a prudent policy that prioritises strategic reinvestment of funds into the business; dividend policy determined by availability of profit/reserves, cost of acquiring catalogues, and desire to reward shareholders. Dividend paid in year: £Nil (2024: £122,345).
