REACT Group, a UK provider of essential building services such as drainage, window cleaning and emergency decontamination, grew revenue to £24.9m in the year to 30 September 2025, up from £20.7m. But it made a loss before tax of £269k, against a profit of £156k the year before. Growth was helped by buying drainage specialist 24hr Aquaflow in October 2024. That lifted the share of sales kept after direct costs to 32.1%, from 27.6%. Profit was held back by higher wage and National Insurance costs and by customers delaying decisions in the first half after the October 2024 Budget. One-off costs, including fees for the Aquaflow purchase, also weighed on the result. To pay for the acquisition, the company raised £1.1m from shareholders and took out a new bank loan. That left borrowings of £3.4m and cash of £1.2m at the year end. No dividend was paid. Management said early trading in the new year was encouraging and that pressures were easing, though it remains cautious on one-off project work. The auditor raised no concerns about the company's ability to keep trading.
