RentGuarantor Holdings PLC acts as a paid guarantor for UK tenants who cannot pass landlords' checks on their own. In the year to 31 December 2025 its revenue rose to £2.4m from £1.3m, but its loss after tax widened to £1.6m from £693k.
Sales grew mainly because the number of tenant guarantee contracts sold rose 85%. The loss grew because the company brought forward marketing spending ahead of new rental laws. It also paid £559,204 in one-off costs for moving its shares to AIM, London's market for smaller companies, in August 2025. Claims for unpaid rent also took a larger share of revenue.
The company raised £3.6m by selling new shares and ended the year with £2.1m in cash and £253k of borrowings. It paid no dividend. The chairman said the first two months of 2026 showed further revenue growth. He was optimistic that the Renters' Rights Act, which starts on 1 May 2026, will help the business. The auditor raised no doubt about the company's ability to keep trading, though the report notes that it relies on raising money to fund its growth.
