Red Rock Resources Plc explores for gold, copper and cobalt in Africa and Australia and is not yet producing. In the year to 30 June 2025 it made no revenue, and its loss before tax widened to £4.4m from £3.0m the year before. Running costs fell slightly, helped by lower staff, marketing and compliance spending, but interest and other borrowing costs rose sharply. One-off write-downs also added to the loss. The largest was £868k, cut from the value of money owed to the company. Cash at the year end was just £18k, against £38k a year earlier, while borrowings grew to £5.7m from £3.8m. The company raised £347k by issuing new shares, and there is no dividend. Management plans to make selling gold and other minerals a short-term priority. It also expects cash from asset sales and court awards. The auditor flagged a material uncertainty over whether the company can keep going, because it must raise more money within a year. It raised a further £500,000 on 19 December 2025.

page 5Going concern and the auditAuditor PKF Littlejohn LLP issued an unmodified opinion but drew attention to a Material Uncertainty Related to Going Concern (Note 1.2): Directors anticipate needing to raise funds within the 12-month going concern period, including repayment of loans due within 12 months. Two further Emphasis of Matter paragraphs were included, on recoverability of the £1.1m VUP litigation receivable and on fair value of financial assets (Elephant Oil FVTOCI investment). The sole Key Audit Matter was recoverability of exploration assets (£13,423k E&E assets, £525k mineral tenements), focused on the Migori gold project in Kenya (£12.9m) dependent on licence renewal
